WCVS is the central support organisation for voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisation working in Walsall. We provide opportunities for not-for-profit organisations to build their capacity, to connect and collaborate with local partners, and have a strong voice so their views are heard within local service development. Administrative Officer

WCVS, Walsall, West Midlands
37.5 Hours per week

Salary, £16000 – £17500 per annum.

WCVS is seeking an experienced, motivated and committed Administrator to supporting the organisation’s effective operation through provision of day-to-day administrative tasks. Key tasks of the role will include:

  • Maintaining office and administrative systems including filing and electronic records.
  • Undertaking basic finance and HR functions and providing administrative support to the CEO, Management Team and Board of Trustees.
  • Supporting the delivery front desk/reception duties.

This role is fixed term until September 2019 with the potential to expand based on performance and funding arrangements.

Volunteer Manager

Salary, £22000 – £25000 per annum.

The Volunteer Manager will lead the delivery of Walsall’s Volunteer Centre, managing a high-quality service offering individuals opportunities to engage in volunteering and support to organisations to offer purposeful volunteering opportunities. Key activities will include:

  • Support local organisations through the provision of training and advice to increase their capacity in relation to engaging and managing volunteers.
  • Leading activities which promote and celebrate the role of volunteering in Walsall.
  • Supporting the Chief Executive Officer and colleagues in working alongside key stakeholders to develop strategic projects to increase volunteering and social action in Walsall.
  • Managing the Volunteer Support Apprentice offering direct advice and support to current and potential volunteers.

This role is fixed term until September 2019 with the potential to expand based on performance and funding arrangements.

Development Manager

Salary, £28000 – £30000 per annum.

The Development Manager will lead a team of three staff delivering capacity building services for voluntary and community organisations in Walsall. The post will also take the lead on supporting opportunities for partnership working within the local voluntary and community sector. Key activities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining a programme of capacity building including training and advice
  • Working alongside key stakeholders across sectors to develop strategic projects aimed at increasing the capacity of the VCS.
  • Enhancing partnership working and supporting collaboration across the VCS and other sectors.
  • Supporting the Chief Executive in developing the organisation’s capacity to support collaboration and contract management.

This role is fixed term until September 2019 with the potential to expand based on performance and funding arrangements.
