Family Support Worker

As Family Support Worker you will take a whole family approach to providing immediate and ongoing support within accommodation services for women, children and young people escaping from Violence and Abuse.

You will ensure a safe and secure environment through Personal Support Planning and respond appropriately to the needs of the women and children, enabling them to make informed choices leading to resettlement.

You will have experience of working with women within a refuge setting and completing assessment tools. You will have knowledge of the support needs and support planning of women and children experiencing violence abuse along with knowledge of legal, statutory, regulatory and good practice requirements applicable to the provision of supported housing.

Excellent communication skills and a demonstrate ability to be able to work effectively and supportively as part of a team are requirements of the role.

Salary: £18,360 PA

Sessional ICT Support

You will support the ICT Technician on an as and when needed basis with delivering ICT maintenance and support within The Haven’s desktop computing environment. This will including installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email), and provide end-user assistance where required, ICT records/licences keeping and purchasing of equipment and services.

You will have a GCSE in ICT or equivalent ICT related qualification and have some previous experience of all aspects of ICT support from install, configuring, updating to repairing ICT equipment. With some experiencing of maintaining IT networks and communication networks and a working knowledge of MS Office applications. Access to transport is essential as this role will require travelling across all of The Haven’s Refuges in various locations across the City.

Sessional Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a Maintenance Worker to join us on a sessional basis for our busy periods. As a valued member of the Maintenance Team you will support the delivery of a high quality customer focused concierge handy-man service. You will be required to carry out maintenance checks, minor repairs to fixtures and fittings and ground maintenance across our refuge accommodation. Tasks will include minor carpentry and plumbing works, painting, light bulb changing and attending to safety hazards.

You will have good communication skills, work independently and as part of a team and be able to work under pressure.
