Work & Enterprise Advisor

Age UK Walsall is seeking knowledgeable, enthusiastic and proactive individuals to support our delivery as a partner in the Building Better Opportunities Programme. The Work and Enterprise Adviser will assist delivery of employment support to long-term unemployed individuals aged 50+,

The post will achieve the objectives of generating work trials and volunteering opportunities for individuals on programme, and support local employers with information, advice and case studies highlighting the benefits of older workers.

The post will take responsibility for building relationships with local employers and brokering relevant placements, working closely with Mentors to match individuals to opportunities and supporting employers to shape opportunities to meet needs.

The Work and Employment Adviser will also provide support to local employers to demonstrate how maintaining policies and practices supporting older employees can help improve staff wellbeing and a productive workforce.

Salary: £21,000 (Pro-rata for 35.75 hrs per week)
