As a mother and wife caring for her two children affected by sickle cell she struggled to get help that would benefit them and provide the social care support needed to help combat the suffering from this disease.

 

Website & Social Media Manager

Website management will include; being in charge of publishing content, maintaining continuity of themes, designing layout, streamlining navigation, and increasing online presence to potential customers.

The successful candidate must have knowledge of search engine analytics to maximize traffic to websites. They should be familiar with publishing and design software in order to maintain client websites.

They must also have strong communication skills and an up-to-date awareness of marketing techniques, as well as:

  • Proven experience in managing social media and web content
  • Creatively minded – with a drive and determination to think outside the box and deliver exciting new contents
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing principles and how its content can be integrated with wider marketing initiatives
  • Demonstrable record of developing content marketing strategy
  • Taking a lead role in maintenance and improvement of the organisation’s website. (Meeting with management to plan and develop site content, style and appearance)
  • Promote information about the website to target customers and partners
  • Report technical problems to the Managing Director & Project Coordinator
  • Have an awareness of legal issues, such as copyright, and data protection
  • Have experience of the operation of a WordPress website

We are particularly interested to hear from anyone who is currently working in the field of marketing, communications, or design, and who has a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Journalism.
