Wolverhampton Safeguarding Boards and the Safer Wolverhampton Partnership invite your organisation to join our city’s support for the United Nations’ ‘Orange the World’ campaign in support of ending Violence Against Women and Girls 2016.
This international 16-day campaign, which works towards the elimination of violence against women, takes place annually between 25th November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) and 10th December (UN Human Rights Day).
Wolverhampton is showing its support for the campaign by turning Wolverhampton Orange to say ‘NO!’ to violence against women and girls, and share the many ways in which our city provides support to all those affected by its many manifestations (domestic abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, honour-based violence, and sexual violence).
Our Safeguarding and Community Safety partnerships are encouraging public and private sector organisations, charities, community groups, schools, and individuals to “go orange” throughout the 16 days of action.
There are many ways in which your organisation can join in and a range of resources that are being made available to support you in participating.
