All Saints Action Network (ASAN) is a Wolverhampton based charity that manages several ground breaking social enterprises and delivers a range of community services which all contribute to improving the quality of life for people living and working in the All Saints area of Wolverhampton.

ASAN wishes to appoint a Finance Manager as a member of the management team. We need someone who is a great team player and can help the organization to deliver its vision and objectives. An understanding of the charity and community enterprise sector would be advantageous.

Overall Purpose of Post

To provide finance support across all ASAN activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide accurate and timely financial information and analysis for ASAN and its trading subsidiary.
  • Maintaining cash handling systems and procedures in accordance with current financial procedures.
  • To set up, implement and monitor accounting and payroll systems for each part of the business in accordance with accepted practice.
  • To prepare financial information for returns to funders.
  • To prepare returns for government agencies, Inland Revenue, customs and excise and other agencies as required.
  • To prepare accounts to trial balances for the companies external auditors.
  • To prepare as required management accounts for Directors at Board of Management and other meetings.
  • To work with other members of staff in the preparation of budgets in the business planning process and in other project development work.
  • To provide members of staff with timely financial information on budget and cash flow
  • To assist members of staff in negotiations with funding agencies where there are required changes to project design.
  • To provide assistance to the Board of Management to insure that the assets of ASAN are protected through insurance and that other insurances are in place as required.
  • Support the Chief Executive to develop new ASAN enterprises and services.
  • To provide support and assistance to local voluntary organisations and community groups as and when required.
  • Participate in ASAN’s social accounting process
  • Comply with all ASAN’s policies and procedures
  • To attend and participate in internal meetings. To represent ASAN in external meetings as appropriate.

 

 

Other Duties

  • Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time.

 

 

Salary: £25,000 (pro-rata) 2 days per week
