Building Effective Organisations

Are you making a difference and can you show it?

This half-day session is aimed at voluntary/community groups, social enterprises and Small & Medium Enterprises wanting to develop purposeful businesses and demonstrate the value of the work they provide in their communities.

The event would benefit many voluntary and community organisations in terms of being clearer about their purposewhat they are doing, how and for whom – and understanding how they can, very simply, demonstrate the Value and the Impact of their work.

This will be particularly useful to provide information for funders on the benefits of their work in their communities and for preparing funding applications.

The session is for anyone who is interested in improving their business practices, reporting on their social value and being accountable to clients, investors, funders and commissioners.

It will focus on:

·     Examining and reviewing the organisation’s purpose and what it wants to achieve.

·     Identifying Key Stakeholders and Beneficiaries

·     Simple ways to obtain feedback on the organisation’s work,

·     Creating simple social reports on the value of their work and,

·     Using this information for organisational planning and preparing funding applications
