Introduction to Safeguarding Children training
for Voluntary and Community Organisations
in Wolverhampton
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. These training opportunities have been put on to support voluntary and community with their safeguarding children responsibilities.
Three separate opportunities have been arranged to undertake the same course. There are up to 25 places on each course. Please click on the link for your preferred date below to book places for volunteers, employees and management committee members / trustees (there is an option to express an interest in other dates on the booking form in case you are not successful in securing a place on your preferred date). Course 1 Monday 5th and Tues 6th June
from 6:30-8:30pm – you must be able to attend both sessions to book a place on this course.

These courses are usually very popular so please book as soon as you can. If oversubscribed, priority will be given to:

  • volunteers, employees, trustees and management committee members of voluntary and community organisations based in, or whose main beneficiaries live in Wolverhampton
  • Bookings from groups of volunteers and employees from the same organisation employment team of an organisation
  • Organisations that have already expressed an interest in taking part in collaborative working arrangement for HeadStart
  • volunteers, employees and management committee members / trustees who have at least some contact with children, young people and families (inc. those on holiday schemes / programmes) or who have governance responsibility for such programmes in their role.
  • If not all places are taken up by voluntary and community organisations based in or already delivering in Wolverhampton then additional places may be allocated to statutory organisations or those from outside the city. In this eventuality, out of city voluntary organisations will be charged at £30 per person and out of city statutory partners at £50 per person.
