Aspiring Futures is a women-led, not for profit Community Interest Company. Aspiring Futures CIC supports women to ‘aspire for better’ by improving their health and wellbeing, financial inclusion and social connectedness. All Aspiring Futures’ activities and services are underpinned by improved health and well-being, particularly mental health and well-being. This includes increased confidence and self-esteem and in some cases also includes moving on from severe trauma and abuse. We have been awarded ‘Queens Award for Voluntary Service’ in 2016 in recognition of our unique and specialist services.

 

Senior Counsellor

The Senior Counsellor post is a mixture of client work, supervision of counsellors and overall support for the mental health aspect of the service. You will deliver a range of evidence-based,culturally sensitive psychological interventions/therapies to those identified as experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems. We would also like to hear from counsellors qualified to deliver children, young persons and family counselling.

The rate of pay is £24,570 pro rata (based on a 35hour week). The contractual hours for this post are 30 hours per week. This is fixed term contract until 31st May 2021.

Counsellor

We are looking for a qualified counsellor to deliver a range of evidence-based, culturally sensitive psychological interventions/therapies to those identified as experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.

The rate of pay is £20,020 pro rata (based on a 35 hour week). Your contractual hours will be 18 hours per week. This is fixed term contract until 31st May 2021.

Community Support Worker

We seek a self-motivated, committed and empathetic person to undertake this role. You will provide listening and emotional support to women; facilitate health and well-being group sessions and undertake outreach community engagement activities.

The rate of pay is £ 15,470 pro rata (based on a 35 hour week). Your contractual hours will be 15 hours per week. This is fixed term contract until 31st May 2021.

Family Support Coordinator

We are looking for a self-motivated, committed and empathetic person to undertake this role. You will undertake initial assessments of the health, well-being and employment status of women referred to the service. You will also offer 1:1 support to women and their families and determine relevant support pathways. You will work with the Strengthening Families Hub and other relevant public and voluntary sector organisations to reach out to women and their families.

The rate of pay is £ 17,290 pro rata (based on a 35 hour week). Your contractual hours will be 25 hours per week. This is fixed term contract until 31st May 2018.
