In the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire, West Midlands Fire Service would like to remind staff in all partner agencies that Safe & Well visits are available to people at risk and vulnerable to accidental dwelling fires.

Click here to see a letter from National Fire Chiefs Council for Fire and Rescue Services. It  to encourages key partners to ask their staff who have regular contact with residents in high-rise dwellings, to help raise awareness of fire safety messages and encourage people to request a Home Safety Assessment (Safe & Well visit)

Alternatively staff can call the WMFS Home Safety Centre FREE on 0800 389 5525

During a Safe & Well visit, firefighters will identify risk and vulnerability to accidental dwelling fires resulting from health and lifestyle as well as environmental factors within an individual’s home.

Where necessary, firefighters will fit smoke detectors.
