Grants increased to up to £15,000!

The Black Country ESF Community Grants Programme has been amended. Eligible groups and organisations can now apply for up to £15,000 to deliver suitable projects. Projects should be ready to start at short notice. Some of the key facts are set out below:

Eligible organisations
·        Not for profit – Community organisation or CIC
·        Turnover of less than £150,000
·        From the Black Country
·        Not in receipt of direct DWP or SFA funding

Eligible participants
·        Aged 18+
·        Right to live and work in UK
·        Live in the Black Country
·        Not working

Eligible projects
·        Maximum of 6 months,
·        Maximum of £15,000
·        Projects must prepare people for work

Examples include:
·        Engagement activity – including sports
·        Informal training in key skills such as English / Maths / ICT or job specific
·        Workshops
·        Taster sessions
·        Confidence-building activity
·        Job Clubs
·        Volunteering projects
