This will be an opportunity for you to find out more about the campaign, collect materials and network.

About the campaign:

The campaign runs from Saturday 25th Nov to Sun 10th Dec. Orange Wolverhampton are asking people and organisations to use the colour orange to raise awareness of the help and support available for women and girls, men and boys who experience any of the five types of gender-based violence (domestic abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, honour-based violence, and sexual violence).

Examples of what your organisation might like to do:
– ‘Go Orange’ Day in the workplace is Monday 27th November. Big group photo? Or team challenge? Or something different?
– Orange ribbons ask all staff to wear them for the day.
– Email signatures – There is an ‘Orange Wolverhampton’ image to include in the email signature on all emails
– Websites and social media – Could those responsible for websites and social media see what can be done to turn website and Social Media Orange (again there are banner images that can be downloaded from the safeguarding website)
– Toilet door campaign – There will be posters that are designed specifically for women’s loos highlighting the issues and telling how to get help and support in Wolverhampton.
– General awareness-raising posters – these will be available from reception for use in our building and for you to give to partners you work closely with.

To attend the free lunch, please book via Eventbrite.
