West Midlands Fire Service is looking to work in partnership with one or more local not for profit organisations to bring our former garage building at Tettenhall Fire Station back into use.

Our ultimate aim is to lease the space on a long term basis at a low cost rent, and see it used for the benefit of the local community. The building lends itself in particular to a “Mens Shed” type project, or provision of practical training for motor mechanics or similar.  However, we would welcome suggestions from local residents and service providers as to how we could best use this space.

The space measures approximately 9m x 4m. It is currently without an independent water supply or toilet facility.  We may be able to partly fund the cost of installing these, but it is likely that further funding would be needed from alternative sources to meet the full cost. Access is currently via the Fire Station gates, but it may be possible (subject to planning approval) to arrange independent rear access to the building via Manor Street, which has some on street parking.
