As part of our ongoing training and development programme, WVSC are pleased to offer a two hour workshop aimed to help you develop your organisation’s online presence.

This will include:
– What you need to create social media accounts.
– Establishing an online ‘voice’ for your organisation.
– How to use social media to:
* Promote your organisation more effectively
* Engage in sector specific discussions
* Network with other groups and organisations
* Cultivate an online image
– The Do’s & Don’t’s of using social media
– The basic legalities of social media use
– Closing Q&A session

The workshop is free to voluntary sector organisations and community groups who are based in or carry out the majority of their work within Wolverhampton. There is a £30 charge for non-Wolverhampton based organisations.

This workshop will be particularly suited to those without Communications/PR personnel. It will not be beneficial to professional communications staff.

There will be a maximum of two places per organisation.

A basic level of computer literacy is required. Please note we will not be setting up social media accounts for attendees on the day.

Please arrive promptly at 10am for a 10.30am start. Light refreshments will be provided.

The session is being run by our Communications Officer, Victoria.
Victoria has over ten years’ experience working within PR/Communications for a range of organisations, including; the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, ITV Granada, the UK government, and extensively within the Third Sector.
She also works as a Special Communications Consultant for international grass-roots organisations across Europe, North America, & the Middle East.
