This Lottery Funded project enables Moreland Trust to provide information, advice, volunteering, befriending, advocacy and culturally sensitive and appropriate health and wellbeing support to BAME, particularly African Caribbean, elders.

We are seeking to make the following appointments on a fixed term basis:


Part time Project Workers (x3)

Salary £10,374 per annum for 21 hours per week

The successful applicants will work within an operational group of 5, consisting of 3 Project Workers, to engage the target community with a view to aiding their physical and mental wellbeing.  This will include 1-to-1 meetings, groups, information events, attendance at medical appointments and advocacy support whilst engaging external services on behalf of service users.

The post-holder will also assist in the development of Moreland Trust, develop, sustain, provide information and support to beneficiaries and service providers, provide regular progress reports, assist in fundraising and promotion events, undertake practical aspects of the service to identify the needs of the client group, support volunteers as and when required. At least 3 years’ experience in community engagement services is essential.

Knowledge and understanding of BAME communities are essential for all posts.
