Access to Business, established in 2004, provides services supporting local people into employment, self-employment and social enterprise development, specifically targeting underrepresented groups including women, BME communities and people with disabilities or health problems. Access to Business also supports existing businesses and delivers office services and accredited training courses.

This is an exciting position to join Access to Business to support our Bridges project funded by The Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund. The project provides an advisory service to unemployed entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds to aid and support them in the establishment and sustainability of their own businesses/self-employment.

The post holder will coordinate the activities of the BBO Bridges project, including the provision of business support, business workshops and marketing activities. To work with, and effectively manage, a portfolio of clients arranging, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating their programmes of support. To work as part of the team contributing to the delivery of targets of the BBO Bridges project.

The successful candidate will need proven project management experience and experience in delivering business advice to potential entrepreneurs and existing businesses. Excellent business sense, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and experience of delivering workshops and presentations are required.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows and be competent in the use MS Office applications.

 

Salary: £26,000 PA
Location: Wolverhampton
Job Type: 35 hours per week. Temporary until 30th September 2019, subject to initial 3 month probationary period
