We have a few places left on this exciting workshop next weekend – if you would like to come please book a place by emailing Katie at k.hill4@wlv.ac.uk

Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June 2018
Wardrobe Revival Intergenerational workshop with Antiform Ltd.

It will be a two day event running 10am – 4pm on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June. We will ask you to bring some of your own clothes to work on and Lizzie and Kate from Antiform will take you through a process of reworking your clothes and teaching lots of design and making skills on sewing machines and by hand. There’s more information about Antiform here.

The venue for Saturday will be the Fashion Lab studio at the University of Wolverhampton where the S4S Stitched Up! launch event was in January, it is on the first floor of the arts building at the University of Wolverhampton, Faculty of Arts, Molineux Street Wolverhampton. And then on the Sunday we will meet at Gatis Community Space, Gatis Street, Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton WV6 0ES. (Tel 01902 651155)

The workshop is for intergenerational groups – so young people accompanied by a family member or responsible adult aged over 18, and adults over 18 can attend on their own.

The degree show exhibitions will also be open on the Saturday, and it’s a university open day so there will be an opportunity to look around the university if you want to.

Please let me know if you’re available and want to come, the number of people in your group and the age of the young person, and if you have any dietary requirements.

We will provide materials, equipment and refreshments and will ask you to bring some clothing to work on – we’ll provide more details but it will be something like items that you don’t wear much or things that are too big or too small or you want to alter.
