About Mossley Big Local
Mossley Big Local (MBL) is one of 150 programmes in England that have been awarded at least £1 million pounds to spend in the community. The programme brings together all the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make their area an even better place to live. A new plan is developed every two years and decisions on how the money should be spent are taken by Mossley Big Local Resident’s Partnership, in line with the consultation and engagement carried out within the area. As the MBL Locally Trusted Organisation, One Walsall holds the funds on behalf of the Resident Partnership and accounts for them in accordance with the Funder’s requirements.

About the role
The MBL Programme Delivery Officer will be responsible for providing support and facilitation to the partnership, coordinating delivery and acting as point of contact for the programme, reporting on outcomes and financial matters and supporting MBL to identify and lever additional funding.
The post will be based primarily within the Mossley area (at least 75% of the time) and will also work from One Walsall’s Town Centre office (up to 25%), will be managed by One Walsall and work to an action plan and objectives agreed and reviewed periodically by the MBL Partnership.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of delivering externally funded projects, detailed knowledge of community development and a proven record of delivering outcomes within a community setting. Motivated, able to work to own initiative and solution-focused, the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, motivate through communications build relationships and lead negotiation. A track record of securing external funding from a variety of sources is also essential.
