Wolverhampton Improving Futures are excited to be hosting a number of ‘Parent Creative Support Group’ sessions for parents of children who exhibit challenging or emotional behaviour issues. The programme which is funded by HeadStart will kick start 1st July 2015 at Friends Meeting House and will engage likeminded parents with what will ultimately be a ‘guided self-help’ group. The sessions will be designed around the parents, who are recognised as the experts, and who will alsoprovide fundamental input into the subsequent sessions.
The sessions will platform tried and tested solution focused techniques, enabling parents to fully support the emotional well-being of their children. Each session will offer creative opportunities designed to improve wellbeing and within each course of 4 sessions there will be an opportunity for parents (and their children) to engage with and discover creative green space activities; giving families access to the great outdoors in order to improve overall health, raise self-esteem and have fun!
Each course will run for 4 consecutive weeks in locations in and around Wolverhampton. For further information please contact Mandy Smith Wolverhampton Improving Futures – Programme Manager on 01902 328977 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
