Interactive Text NetworkSet up in July 2007 and currently has over 150 service users signed up.  Launched regionally by NTA in 2009 and is due to be launched nationally by the end of 2010.

It is easy to activate – just text SUIT GO to 80809 to receive regular updates on SUIT’s activities, receive regular local news updates and most importantly drug contamination warnings.

To send messages to us text SUIT followed by your message to 80809.

Texts are free to receive and only cost your standard network rate to send.

SUIT also manages a Drug Contamination Warning System which alerts staff, police and service users to any contaminated street drugs circulating around the city via the mobile phone text network.

Mission Statement

Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council exists to support the development and sustainability of an effective voluntary and community sector, promoting the principle and practice of voluntary and community activity, in order to facilitate the development of diverse, strong communities and to enhance quality of life within the City of Wolverhampton.

Target Groups and Location

WVSC will primarily work with new and existing voluntary organisations and community groups in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas with a priority given to those working with the socially disadvantaged and isolated.

In addition, WVSC will take appropriate steps to ensure that its services and activities are targeted at and accessible to those voluntary organisations and community groups that work with the socially disadvantaged and isolated.
